    Hello,

    My wife and I are happy happy owners of a 15 Month old Blue Weim named Enzo. He is a super cuddly guy and loves being around us.

    Lately he seems to be a little more aloof when he’s laying around the house cooling off or calming down. Is this typical behavior? I am under the assumption that he’s just transitioning into becoming more mature and prefers his space at times.

    Yes, this is pretty typical. At 15 months he’s pretty much maturing into adulthood (but still a puppy at the same time). It’s great that he’s not so overly attached to you that he will lay around on his own and whatnot. Sounds like he has got his head on straight.

    Would love to see some pics of your boy! I have a soft spot for Blues. :)

    Thanks for the quick response. Great to hear he’s acting normal. This is our first Weim but we KNEW this was the dog we wanted. Enzo generally gets 2-3 walks a day in addition to that, he gets a trip to the dog park about 2-3 times a week. He’s so sweet and smart and we get nothing but compliments on him. He does have his head on pretty straight, although, like any “teenager” he has his moments of insanity.

    15 months old..maturing..woohoo..that means my 13 month old weimaraner might start to calm down. He’s still like a massive puppy that has no spacial awareness and doesnt realise he is actually a big dog..lol…
