My 2 1/2 year old rescue, Brunello loves to hunt; we do not. I have watched her jump 4 feet in the air to take down a bird. We also have to deal with hunting our backyard in the middle of the night. Any time between 1 and 5 am we are alerted if something is nearby. When we go to the creek she loves to swim while sniffing the water; is that even possible?
I am working on activities to use some of this energy – bike riding, backyard obstacle course, treadmill, dog park and of course swimming.

Yes, they can smell on water! It is very cool to see them track a duck on water!
