Summer’s here! I work at a university, and the students are gone and the faculty and staff are starting to go on summer vacation. It’s hot, the days long, and we have a three day weekend coming up! So I hate to break the mood by talking about bloat…
But yesterday I received a reminder from Dr. Carmen Battaglia’s Breeding Better Dogs newsletter about his bloat survey. Bloat can kill, and Weimaraners are a susceptible breed, so please be sure you are familiar with it by clicking here.
The timing of that email was good reminder. With the fourth of July around the corner, and with stress being one of the possible risk factors of bloat, I thought I’d share this article on how to help your dog cope with fireworks.
