Woo hoo, it’s launch day! Before you groan (ANOTHER dog site?) let me first emphasize that this isn’t just a dog site. It’s a site specifically about Weimaraners and for those that love the breed. The site was borne out of love and appreciation (and yes, sometimes frustration!) of the breed and has been in the works for many years.
So, here we are… What can you expect? Well, it’s up to you! This is our little corner of the internet, a place to share stories, experiences, advice, training tips, and whatever else.
- Let’s Talk! - We’ll see ya over at the discussion forum on Facebook, or contact me and let me know if you have a story or tip you’d like to share with the JW readers. I welcome guest posts!
- Comment on posts – At the bottom of each blog entry, I encourage you to post your thoughts on the topic. Agree? Disagree? Have another tip to add? Great! Please comment! The comments will be published under the article, and others can also chime in.
- Newsletter – Sign up for our newsletter by filling in the information at the top of the site, and you will receive exclusive content, tips, freebies and more by email. Basically, newsletter membership means that you get all the extras and goodies – and it’s free! I am using a reputable service to deliver the newsletters – that means you won’t get spammed.
- If you don’t want to remember to look at this site all the time – then sign up to get JustWeimaraners by email, or sign up to get JustWeimaraners via our RSS feed. If you are not familiar with RSS, read this.
Any questions or comments? Any feedback? Post them below in the Comments section or contact me. Hope you enjoy the site!!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your new endeavor! Very nice resource for the weim folks. Good going! Leslie
Nice! I’m excited to look around some more…
perhaps an introduction is in order – eileen here. tom and i live on a 100 acre doggie heaven in western kentucky (www.sandycreekfarm.net). plenty of all kinds of wildlife. every feb we get heloise and abelard (our visiting geese) setting up their home near our pond. well just a few days ago i saw about 9 geese on the pond. that’s how it starts – then they eventually get sorted out and just a mom and dad remain. looking forward to the arrival of the goslings. that afternoon i was out in the dog run with genie, our 7 mos old pup, and we could actually hear and see a flock of about 50+ geese way up in the stratosphere heading south towards the lake region.
so it’s me and tom, holly who will be 13 in april, her 8 year old son, hunter, the 3 legged dog and genie houdini hunter’s daughter (and by extension holly’s granddaughter). life is good.
eileen
